Cambodia clothing company article opinion

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing this letter in order to express my opinion regarding the article about the shop of T-shirts that are being sold for a very low Price and that are being made in Bangladesh; because I know that you receive the opinions of the readers and that you often publish them afterwards on the newspaper.

First of all, I would like to make clear that the posture that I have supports the fact that there should always and constantly be skepticism towards selling companies, and that awareness about the slavery implied should always be promoted.

We should always remain skeptical towards all businesses that sell any kind of product or service, regardless of the appearance and idea that the shops are generating for themselves, because who knows where the law is since modern slavery keeps on existing. We should never prejudice or be fooled by the price or the story that the company is trying to form in our minds about it. It may seem logical that the cheapest brands are the ones that implement more slavery because they can charge less since they pay their employees less, but that does not mean that expensive stores do not stop giving their workers the sufficient amount of money.

I am as well impressed by the degree to which people can be indifferent and apathetic towards subjects with such an impact and relevance such as modern slavery, and I am extremely glad to know about the existence of the few people that care to make a change. We should never stop promoting awareness by whichever way we can, because whether the uninvolved care not, hideous consequences are being provoked.

With sincere appreciation,

Anja Von der Meden Klein.
